These are some of our favourite spots to go when we eat out. The title of each restaurant is linked to their website.
TBC is relatively new on the scene in Tobermory and is one of the few that is open year round. It has nailed the rustic, industrial, brew pub feel and the beer is incredible. Great place to enjoy a pint on the small patio overlooking the harbor or pick up a Growler of beer to take back to the cottage.
The food is generally excellent. Everything is a little more expensive in Tobermory than in a larger center, TBC is no exception. The restaurant is small and can get crazy busy on weekends in the peak season. They don’t take reservations. Our recommendation is to come for an early dinner or be prepared to have a beer and wait for a table. They get mixed reviews online, mostly related to people having to deal with waiting at peak times and service also getting a bit slow at those times. Relax, you’re on vacation… Don’t let that deter you, great food, awesome beer! Kids are welcome but there is no kids menu.
In the off season they have specials most evenings. Thursdays is wings night!!
The Crow's Nest offers a great selection of beer and typical pub fare. The food is good and the views over the harbour from the large outdoor patio make the experience. Good kids menu and perfect place to go with a large group of people. Pizzas are our go to at the Crow's Nest, but the wraps, nachos and wings are also excellent. Good place for appys and a beer after a day of hiking!
Awesome thin crust, stone oven pizza. There are a few small tables to eat at but this is pretty much a take-out only joint. The LCBO is located just down the road and has a walk-in cooler of perfectly chilled beer and coolers to round out the perfect take-out experience.
